Based on these factors, the study determined that Cape Verde, Lesotho, and Tanzania are the three most stable countries on the continent. Mauritius, Liberia, South Africa, and Senegal come next, ranking fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh respectively. In eighth place is Seychelles, with Namibia and Botswana taking up the top ten’s final two spots. Southern Africa emerged as the most stable region for the second year in a row, while Central Africa was judged the most volatile.
