Sierra Leone pulls off an amazing comeback from 4-0 down with Nigeria
Sierra Leone comes from four goals down to play a 4-4 draw with Nigeria in group L, African cup of Nations qualifying match which happens at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium in Benin City on Friday.
Nigeria takes the lead through Alex Iwobi within five minutes and Nigeria was in control of the game for the first half with goals from Victor Osimhen, Samuel Chukwueze, and another from Iwobi to go 4-0 within 31 minutes of the match.
But Sierra Leone pulls one goal back from Kwame Quee four minutes before half time.
For the second half Sierra Leone who is the visiting team score, three goals two from Alhaji Kamara and Mustapha Bundu that place the Super Eagles under serious tension that lead to 4-4.
The result will put Nigeria as the lead team in group L with seven points followed by Benin, Lesotho, and Sierre Leone. There will be a return leg against Leone stars, on Tuesday, November 17, at the Siaka Stevens Stadium in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
Only the top two teams will qualify for the tournament that will take place in Cameroon next year
